Another first for Space X as they succesfully return NASA astronauts Bob and Doug to Earth, becoming the first commercial space company to achieve such a feat. I think it's class what this company has done in 18 years like and have no doubt that Musk will get a rocket to Mars in the next 10 years.
Musk is a classic mixture of genius and loon. Mostly loon, but enough smarts to make SpaceX work. However, giving his daughter THAT name and claiming the pyramids were built by aliens means he's also a complete twat.
Harsh calling Musk a twat becuse of his aliens comment imo. He's started the whole commercial space operations while introducing brand new technology and has done so in 18 years. He's also started this small car company called Tesla in 2003 which is now the most valuable car manufacturer on the planet. Combine these two with his boring company and the man has pretty much put together the tech you need to colonise Mars, which is his long term aim. Not exactly looney imo.
The whole "pedo-guy" thing puts me off him, so I'd go along with the twat judgement. Also, he didn't start Tesla, it had already been going for a year before he invested in it. However, he's undoubtedly managed to get some very successful major projects achieved, not quite so single handed, or entirely with his own money, as he'd like everyone to believe, but he's got them done, so credit to him for that.
Those who fly to near the sun often burn and crash...he seems part genius, part bonkers but mostly twat!
Worked for a company that did the launch of some tesla battery in South Australia and heard some absolute horror stories about him The bloke sounds like he needs a decent backhand. All the money in the world doesn't excusing you being a massive ****.
Tesla's been losing squillions for years. They know they can't make enough batteries for every car to go electric, but that's the myth they peddle. Lovely cars, mind...
