in all competitions it was 14 home games ago when we failed to win. 13 consecutive home wins, must be some saints record Last home game we failed to win Saturday 29th January -home to Man Utd. yes January -we are now in September. What a run - will come to an end sometime, hopefully not this weekend.
Forest are a decent side but in poor form; I hope it will be 2-0 at half time, and De Ridder get's a good second half run out and his name on the scoresheet.
Taking my girlfriend's 8 year old to this one and it'll be her first ever football game. As she lives in Pompey a decent performance and a good win is crucial!! Knowing my luck it'll be a 0-0 bore draw!
Or the opposite effect - the players know he is on the edge and I'm sure there are a few who would love to see the back of him.
Gotta fancy Saints for this one. They will be angry at loosing at Leicester whilst playing so well 2nd half. I'll go......3 - 1 Saints, maybe more!
I think Martin will start, Hooiveld will have only had 5 training sessions or so Davis Richardson Fonte Martin Harding De Ridder Cork Hammond Lallana Lambert Connolly SUBS: Bart, Hooiveld, Fox, Schneiderlin, Guly
Going for a home win - cannot see us keeping a clean sheet and I think Forest they will be set up defensively minded; 2-1 Saints - Connolly will get on the score sheet again and a midfielder gets the second; so lets go for Adam Lallanna.
I'm pretty sure Jos will start, he'd have had a good week and a half's training with the team now so should be fine to go straight in.
I'm going for comfortable 3-0 as well........what I've seen of the Forest defence this season they look woeful.
3-1 Saints for me, as that seems to be our favourite scoreline over the last couple of seasons. As Forests defence is a bit of a shambles at the moment I think this is quite a plausible score line. COYR
I changed my mind and went to 2.0 Saints on the predictor...this is based on the wholly scientific method of picking a score that we don't get often. Cue for all of you data geeks to prove I'm wrong.
