I don't disagree strongly with either your view, Bobby or Bodinks'i.
I certainly am not for starting more than one youngster at a time in any of our PL games, but I do think it's past time that say, RLC or Hudson Odoi or Ampadu gets a run as sub instead of Christensen (who has been poor all season and the end of last) , Barkley who has had one very good game and too many ordinary ones, and Willian for Pedro or Hazard when Willian has been patchy as well.
Barkley is perhaps the best example of how match time with the 1st 11 improves players, but I still don't see him as the right player with Kante and Jorginho. We need power in midfield, not another kick bollock scrambler like Hazard and Willian. That's the job of the front men. That's why our strikers misfire, it's all about the midfield, always has been.
Maybe I need more patience, but history shows there is never a game or time in the PL when our Manager tries to bring on a youngster.
I can see Christensen, RLC and Ampadu slipping away in the next season, while we watch them play for their National teams and warm benches for us.

Think christensen is gone especially as hes made it known he doesnt want to stay as backup. Not totally a bad thing depending on where ampadu ends up. We should probably try him at cb but is he big enough for it? Unfortunately i dont think he has a big role for us at cm as lets face it he will not get the job from jorginho or kante (well i doubt it) and with ampadu in there as well it will make the midfield very pedestrian.

Rlc needs a chance but hes been injured recently right? I understand you want some power but barkley is pretty powerful. Not saying hes the one but i think of the two barkleys more technical whereas rlc has the size and athletism (oh and barkleys short safe passing is terrible). Im warming to barkley though as he can turn either way with close control away.

Biggest disappointment definitely has to be odoi seeing zero time in the cups as well as league. Even ampadu deserves more time.

Yes, such a shame he got injured when he was getting close to a breakthrough... is he fully fit again now?

Interested to see on ChelseaTV a feature on Lampard. Incredible how many times he was in position to score from another midfielders pass and how often he set up Drogba. Lampard is no giant but he often managed to force his way through defenders to assume the perfect position for a shot or to set up someone else.
Ballack and Essien had real power, and Ballack also had skill and nouse. He'd be perfect if we could wind the clock back !!

That was a very powerful midfield, Jose powerball.

Now we have Sarri ball: two wonderful technicians Jorginho and Kovacic plus Kante

What a great couple of decades we are having at Chelsea.

Thank you Roman & co. We are very lucky to see all these great players week in, week out

Is Ampadu back from injury now? Hopefully he will be fit and in contention for Borisov and Derby matches?

I am not sure if he even managed to play for Wales, but hope he goes against Derby especially. That will be a terrific game for obvious reasons. More's the pity we didn't let Mount play for Derby, he's going great guns with Franks' direction.

Great to see Chelsea players succeed ... at whatever club they end up at..

Is Ampadu is not fit, would you play Christensen?

Definately, he needs a lift in spirits and some confidence shown in him by the manager. He hasn't become a bad player overnight. Personally I think Conte asked too much of him too soon and perhaps the pressure got to him a bit. He's just a kid, but with bags of talent and needs to be brought along steadily. He just got slightly overwhelmed towards the end of last season, and needs a boost. Playing is the best medicine.

Yes, he is a good player who lost his confidence after Barca.
