Unless you can think of a way to stop this nonsense. Personally, I have already said that I would welcome Cardiff posters who want to engage in footballing discussion, but the past few days have gotten out of hand, and is only going to get worse over the coming weeks and months.

Derailed threads are the biggest problem and that is going to become a massive problem if it's happening everytime one of the teams loses. We're going to end up shutting down most started threads then eventually end up baning everyone anyway.

I don't comment on your board which is what Sparkey originally said but I do like to read what your writing and your opinions (free world). Most of you (and us) can't resist a bite. On our board most people have sussed that JH is a moron and take everything he says tongue in cheek. This week on our board it has been the Project PVD week on just about everything and I don't really want to read his thoughts on the Cardiff board for the next year.

Not a blanket ban but don't be an idiot when posting on the other board (too much to ask probably)

I've done that thread for Valley. I've voted no and I hope that others see sense and vote no too.

Mods keep a close eye on it please

I'm actually not going to contribute much next season (music to your ears I know) because of the anticipated invasion. I just can't face it again, sorry. But I'm dead against a blanket ban. It's ridiculous.

"I may be missing the point here".

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

Your thread is a plea for good behaviour in the forthcoming interaction between two sets of fans',viz,Swansea and Cardiff.

I was merely pointing out that there did not appear to be a thread of similar substance posted on the Cardiff Forum.

The inference that I drew from that is you feel we,i.e. Swansea fans', hold the key to this behaviour change, and that Cardiiff fans' are in no way culpable.

I hope that clarifies my stance.

Why would you assume that I was deliberately trying to cause an argument by being obtuse? Are you trying to cause an argument by asking that question?

Baddabing!

Why the **** are people pontificating about this. Its making it worse and making us look foolish!

If someones first post here for 2 years is about laying some rules, it says more about them!

Lets just agree to disagree as always... and grow some!

They weren't laying rules mate, they were explaining why they hadn't posted here in two years.

And the way some people act on here it will be another two years before they, or any poster from any other team bloody post here.

Well said. Oldsparkey . It will be great to have you in the same Div again I have seen many Derbys over 56yrs ,and yes there are allways idoits on both sides who try and spoil the game its on the day may the best team win, being us I really hope you stay up for a few yrs so we can show the premier ship what a Derby is like we know you play good football but it takes a season or two to find your feet, last yr we finished 11th this season 9th so good luck for the season it would be great if you can finish say 10th and we in 8th great for Welsh football all the very best.

I don't blame the Cardiff fans for any of this. The problem lies on this board but if I put up on here my thoughts on the subject it would upset a lot of people and I'd probably end up with a ban (one rule for one and one rule for another).

I really cannot be bothered with all this bollocks any more. The Cardiff board is just as bad too, they've got that walking rectum on there going unchecked.

A blanket ban is absurd. Surely all you need to do is ban the worst Cardiff wummers as they come over? I can't see any more than 5 or 10 different (new) people so it's not like it's a huge job, and then a month or so into the season you'll have them all.

I'll just echo what Ash has just said Swim.

Nobody is trying to impose any "rules" - certainly not me anyway. I've already answered Jager who seemed to suggest the same thing by saying you should be able to post what you want, where you want. This thread was only posted in an attempt to get away from the childish exchanges and get back to some sharp banter between the two sets of fans this coming season - stuff most of us indulged in and enjoyed a few years back.

This thread has beeen labelled by some as some sort of wum post just because they want to believe it. My God, some of the responses are so childish it doesn't befit grown men on a football forum.

One thing is patently clear - such is the tone of some of the comments that it's unlikely there will ever again exist a decent football chat forum between Cardiff and Swansea. I do not exclude some posters from the Cardiff board who adopt a similar stance, but with a number of noteable exceptions, this forum has made its' views clear.

I now feel it was a mistake to put up this thread on your forum - or was it? At least it's brought true feelings out into the open even if it wasn't known before. I'll revert to my previous policy and wont be posting over here again - that should please quite a number of its' members.

Football forums should be about sharp chat with some cutting comments to spice it up, not the bloody "ethnic cleansing" policies that plague them and spoil it for everyone else except the aggressive participants who indulge.

Thanks for the decent replies guys - much appreciated. I'll respond to this thread until it dies (or is closed), but no more ta very much.

This mountain is too high to climb at the moment. If it changes, I'll look in again. Adios amigos. <ok>

It wasn't a mistake. You gave a suggestion on how to stop the infighting between both sets of fans on here. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion <ok>

Sparkey, it wasn't a mistake byt.

Dill, if you have an opinion, share it. It is not one rule for one, and another for someone else. What is said in this thread stays in this thread with no consequences because the issue needs sorting.

Having spent ages reading through this thread, some good points made & some silly ones. Oldsparkey was only putting over his point of view, nothing wrong with that. It has been nice this past couple of years not having all the bitterness spilling out everywhere, but now we are both in the same league again, so the banter will resume.

I don`t visit the Cardiff (if they are still called that) board at all, but from what is said on here, some of our posters go on their board and give it big. They come here and give it big & people want a complete ban on them If you can give it, then you should also be able to take it, if you can`t don`t dish it out.

I agree that there are a few troublesome posters from both sides, even on the old 606. These are the ones that should be monitored very closely, and when they start spouting their vitriol, they should be warned and if it continues then a possible ban should be enforced. There is no excuse for insults either personal or general.

P.S. Just a link for the bluebird/redbird readers:

One question, if red is so lucky, why is he wearing a blue scarf? Just wondering, that`s all.

Ah yes, it`s before the "rebranding".

Dilli - why do you think the problem lies with Swans fans and not the Cardiff fans? If you can't remember what's gone on in the recent past then you haven't been around long enough. They disappear for two years because let's be honest it's difficult to wum when the opposing team is a division above you. Any other reasons that they give are just nonsense. Now that's changed it's started again.

Same old rubbish that we have to put up with: "We are the biggest club in Wales; we have a bigger stadium; we are the best supported; we are your capital; why didn't you pay your creditors over ten years ago; why is your ground Council owned when we own ours? You're just peg-sellers, pikies and gypos."

These comments have started on here and on their board over the last week. Same old rubbish starting over again and it will get worse, mark my words. But you feel the need to say the problem lies with the Swans fans? I'd be interested to know your reasons why you think that, because you are very wrong.

I for one have avoided their board for the last two years - even though it would have been easy to wum given the circumstances. I've visited lately and it's obvious that many over there can't wait to start their Swans obsession - see the recent thread by Hilts displaying a Guardian article going back over a month titled: "Swans halo slips". He went to the trouble of looking this up.

Yes, the problem lies with the Swans fans. <doh>

This board is going to be carnage this season and I've already made up my mind I can't be doing with it. Good luck. <ok>
