can't help myself, after such a joyfull event....

osama bi laden and his son have been killed by american forces,

brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "taking the bins out"

osama bin laden, world hide and seek champion 2001-2011,

so bin laden has finally been found and killed. i can't help think that if the yanks had tried to "rescue" him, this would have been over a long time ago...

apologies for going of topic.....

how do you miss a 6" 5" arab in Pakistan? could casue a bit of **** around the world in the short term but very good news. Some navy seals mother is going to be very proud.

I understand they were trying to take him alive and so went for the headshot

But this may prove to be counter intuitive, the Taliban aren't exactly known for graciously accepting defeat, especially not due to the death of such a massive political and religious figure.

so is that what they call killed by fiendly fire?

HEADLINE.. osama bin laden dead. US has body, this is just terrible, surely everyone knows it is "WE have body".

osama may be considered a martyr by islamic radicals, but it was the US that made him a holey man

just realised i ahve another 7 flights before I get home....... looks like more **** at the airports for a while

To be fair the yanks had more chance of taking him alive than we had of hitting the net on Saturday.

I would rather have seen him taken alive; how are we any better than them if we simply kill them for what is essentially propaganda? He should have been punished for his actions, not killed. He would have been more than happy to die like that; he thinks that what he did was right and that he's going to heaven. I would much rather have him rot away in some American prison for the rest of his life.

nah i wanted a public execution, just like when they hanged soddin hussien, that was a canny video...

I just don't think it's right that we condemn Islamist violence, but we commit violent acts and are happy about it. I don't think that this is a happy day; very important maybe, but I just can't bring myself to celebrate the death of somebody.
