Ah yes. There's a perfectly logical reason for this. It's all down to Joe Louis. Joe used to explain his ferocious body punching by saying "Kill the body, and the head will die." Well, obviously, the U.S. forces wouldn't want poor Mr. bin Ladin's head to die, would they? So they left his body alone, and shot him in the friggin' head instead.
