Hardly a surprise, he was bloody useless, though I wouldn't mind us giving Eiður Guðjohnsen a home for a season.

He used to be an amazing player. But it seems he appeared more times on Sky as a pundit rather than on the pitch.

Sonko might make a good policeman or head steward at some club but I think his footballing days are over in the top 4 divisions.
That was very nice of Stoke to thank him for his one appearance for the club and wish him well for the future.
Next time TWF says how good PD and PB were you might mention that Sonko was said to be a good replacement for Turner who they had been tracking for some time!

Looks like it:

Fulham look to seal Eidur Gudjohnsen on permanent deal

Fulham manager Mark Hughes has stated his desire to bring in on-loan striker Eidur Gudjohnsen on a permanent deal.

Gudjohnsen joined Fulham in January from fellow Premier League club Stoke City on loan until the end of the season and has played eight games for his new club since.

Hughes has been impressed with the former Chelsea man since he arrived at Craven Cottage and would like to take advantage of the fact Gudjohnsen is available on a free transfer in the summer.

"We're trying to make that happen," Hughes told Sky Sports. "I've been really pleased with what Eidur's brought to us and I know that he's enjoying his time here.

"Eidur would like to stay, I'm sure, and we would reciprocate that as well. "We're hopeful it'll get done quite soon."

Gudjohnsen has had a glittering career seeing him play for Chelsea and Barcelona, winning the Champions League with the latter, and has played 63 times for his country.
