How could you have sex with someone wearing a strap-on multiple times and not suspect that it is not a real penis?

If you agree to meet up to have sex with someone you've met online and agreed to remain blindfolded throughout, are you not a tad responsible if it turns out that internet character is not quite as they had you believe?

It's similar to case a few years back where a guy thought he was shagging a female army officer who only liked anal, surprise surprise he claims he never knew the army type was a bloke in drag all along. Aye, and the moon is made of green cheese.
