Is the £4m coming our way or going theirs?? No way would I swap Gordon and £4m for him - never - Maybe him + £9m or £10m for Gordon but not Gordon and Money!!

I think sadly Flash' contract situation really hammers us in terms of value, we'd be looking around £4million, valuing Bendtner at about £8million in my book.

Flash is worth more, but not when he can walk in January.

...........Thats always the stickler isnt it?....Tell you what tho` SB and Quinny are building a good reputation for aiding that... and funnily enough if they add the Utd trio and a couple more the "want" in wanting come is eased I think....Sure they come for money but if they can see theyll have players around "who can play"...including Sess/Gyan/ Connor potentially its gonna help...... Funnily enough on the positive side wasnt Ji`s comment great about the feeling he was REALLY wanted........Shankly signing Emlyn Hughes...as an unknown introduced him as the next captain of England.....Maybe in todays white hot technology stuff like that would be
ripped apart ....but say what you like I bet harry Redknap still uses it....and if somebody was giving you that just before you ran out it would still work.....
Anyway ...huge laugh...Ive just checked out our supposed latest interest...Pogborstottycyack......and he looks absolutely fantastic.....I think we should go for him...!!!

Bendtner does have a good first touch and knock on it's his second touch which is his downfall or as we like to call it a tackle. For a striker he just doesn't score enough to warrant a look for me and if it is Gordon and 4mil would tell tem to take a long walk off a short pier.

anywhere betwen 4-6 million and flash as part of the deal sounds good to me, thunk maybe he would be the 15+ a season man if he gets regular 1st team action, fraid i can't see him wanting to come this far north though

Totally agree Cest. He does have quality and years to get better. Plenty of big European teams like Bayern are looking at him, so he definately ain't that bad. I reckon for 10-12 million he'd be a bargain. But sadly and I hate to say this, there is no chance in hell of him wanting to come to the North East unlsess we give him a bumper contract he probably isn't worth.

If and it is a big if he did come lads for 12/13mil he would be first choice alongside Gyan. This would mean Whickham playing second fiddle to them both and at times third choice striker, I can't see Bruce doing that to be honest.
Does anyone think he can score 15 to 20 goals a season in our side cos I can't see him scoring 10?

Think Bendtners confidence (big headedness) would seek out a bigger club. Unfortunately.

There is that as well, he sees himself as being able to give Messi a run for his money but would have problems giving Daryl Murphy a run for his money.

I think the trouble with him is, and chamach as well, they both hvnt got good run in the team, and arsenal dont exactly play with wingers and swinging crosses into the box left right and center, their 2 wingers seem to come inside more and either shoot themselves or play it tippy tappy into the middle, so they never really get a chance, and when they do get the ball its always 25 yards out, so again its all tippy tappy and trying to play it through the middle.

What i have seen on him though, he isnt that good, but one of these who might be excelent for us, you never know (if it ever comes off).

Thanks for keeping this on the boil boys....Just heard a snippet on the radio that Fulham are looking at him....Bit spooky that I mentioned Murphy earlier....somebody mentioned earllier about him comparing himself to Messi.... theres a couplle of ways of looking at that....I prefer to just laugh....Hes 23 for Gods sake!!..`bout 4 years older than Connor .We cry out for somebody to be different....theres enough pumped up artificial manufactured stuff out there..... ....

I think we're clutching at straws here lads. Gordon for Bendtner?! Are you nuts?!

Bendtner does do the odd decent thing I agree. But the awful performances he gives in the following 2-5 matches thoroughly warrants dropping. That's why Wenger drops him.

If he comes, Wickham will be starting by the end of September/start of October, Bendtner will throw a paddy and we'll sell him off for pittence!

Pobegnyak however would be a top signing, he was starting up front for Stuttgart with Cacau, i.e. very similar tall players, so his record looks a lot worse than it should be. Remember Dichio and Quinn when SuperKev was injured? NIGHTMARE! He would be a much better value for money risk, as I feel he would be a much better foil for Gyan, with his experience in a number of leagues. Ok again, experience will be the problem!

Risk....yes its all down to risk...how many foreign imports have we tried over the years....they all lookgood or have fancy reputations and then maybe they score one goal and are an embarrasment before they limp back .....I`m not really trumpeting Bendtner....although he has performed in the EPL and scores goals....What I was saying(though probably phrasing it in an extrordinary fashion)....was he looked a character who could gel with Gyan......I could see them having a laugh together....just looks like a good fit to me
....Just the way youd pick a mate to be in your team......Use a bit of GUT feeling......Tell you what IF you could a pair to click like that its dynamite .....Yorke & Cole springs to mind...who`s to say Bruce hasnt already done that with Connor & Gyan? I dont know......What Im aware of is that you see shopping lists on here of players with their MILLIONS tags on them like a shopping list...I think sometimes fans expect the prices to mean something.....All Im saying is REALLY keep an open mind....Close your eyes imagine players who could dance with Gyan...who`d take the field and say wer`e gonna take the Michael...Personally I dont want a formula team I want a team that would take the eyes out of opponents and go back for the sockets....

.....Mind you....If I was Bruce maybe I`d be thinking of later rather than sooner as his poke is heafty....then again if Jol is flashing the cash already.....

    www.fansfc.com/story/31030.html makes an interesting read.......

Hey dont get me wrong...you could be right...he could be absolutely useless as you say....all I know is when he played for Bruce last time (admittedly in the Championship) 2006-7 he scored slightly better than 1 goal every 4 games

He was only a kid then mind....well hes still young now!....................and 6 feet 4" tall by the way.......
