Is this acceptable? Because someone blacking their face is always frowned up - even if to make a point regarding racism. Not sure what the whole #blackvote hash tag is all about either tbh. Didn't he want to get into politics at some point?
It's weird is what it is. Low voter registration and turnout is directly related to poverty not black or white ect
We should ALL follow the same laws/rules on racism, But as with certain words its ok for people of colour to say and in this case do things if its seen as something positive, I am not offended by it but if others are they have the right to be just as some black people are offended when the reverse happens. I'm more offended that a black working class lad from East London would become a Tory and even consider standing in an election for them.
Politicians won't represent you????? Represent who? Represent you as a constituent? Or represent you as a black person? Dont get what being black has to do with anything. Vote because you are privileged to live in a democracy, vote because it's the right thing to do, to affect democracy, to have some say in who governs you. That's the reason to register
no, it just makes no sense, Sol is making out that not registering to vote is somehow a black thing is he not? Or that many black young Britons don't register to vote. The demographic is poor people, not black people.
Because in this weird world of politics, people tend to vote in groups in order to increase their importance to parties, be it students, middle class, Jewish community, trade unions etc. They understand that pooling together their votes gives them more of a voice rather than being fragmented. I'm sure it's difficult concept to grasp based on your post but the advert (even though I think it's silly) is trying to encourage black people to register to vote because strangely enough, a lot of them feel disenfranchised in this country, especially when it comes to politics.
Cool. Carry on living in your rose tinted world. The rest of us will live in reality. Hopefully you can join us one day.
Do people's posts make sense in the real world? Yours certainly don't. You've been taking the Talking Heads too literally I reckon You should start making sense
" Liverpool fans once again showing their ever enlightened perspective when it comes to race." I was the first to reply dimwit and as your accusation was in the plural you were obviously referring to me. There's another saying "****s talking **** have terribly bad breath"
Actually you wasn't the first to reply. Once you understand the difference between first and second I might consider engaging you intellectually.
