It has to be the right man, Vince. I'd rather they take time to get it right like they seem to be doing. It's a massive appointment and could define our football clubs future for the next 10 years.

Plenty of time yet.
Yeh mate take time But they should have had people in the frame.
It's ok saying it now
But really we new Moyes wouldn't stay.
The should of had contingency plans.

I may be too cynical here but does anyone think that having David Moyes involved in choosing the next manager has a flaw.

Moyes is probably an honest man but how would he feel if someone he chose came in and made a huge success getting promoted, getting good players in and mid table premier finishes.
That would make him look bad.
If someone came in and, like most of the others, failed, then he could point to that and blame the club and not himself for his failure with us.
Something for him to bear in mind when applying for his next managerial position.

In short, however the next manager performs, the opposite will happen to him.

He may well be an honourable man but his involvement in choosing the next manager doesn't make great sense.

If he was choosing the manager himself I would be concerned
Because he is a voice in the room I'm comfortable - hopefully he will identify the areas where he came up short, and others will see if potential managers can address these
