<laugh> ya cant be saying that man.

The society of unhappy butlers will lodge a complaint of some kind of random racism.

Claude Puel sacked by Southampton apparently.

Unlikely but any takers for him here?

I haven't been impressed by him. I think Southampton have gone backwards while he's been in charge.

I may be too cynical here but does anyone think that having David Moyes involved in choosing the next manager has a flaw.

Moyes is probably an honest man but how would he feel if someone he chose came in and made a huge success getting promoted, getting good players in and mid table premier finishes.
That would make him look bad.
If someone came in and, like most of the others, failed, then he could point to that and blame the club and not himself for his failure with us.
Something for him to bear in mind when applying for his next managerial position.

In short, however the next manager performs, the opposite will happen to him.

He may well be an honourable man but his involvement in choosing the next manager doesn't make great sense.

If he was choosing the manager himself I would be concerned
Because he is a voice in the room I'm comfortable - hopefully he will identify the areas where he came up short, and others will see if potential managers can address these

Just checked the betting and Kevin Phillips is now 2/1 joint favourite.

I think he will do well there working for Gibson

So I'm wondering if that clears us to appoint Pearson / SKP combo......
