Week by week more folk around the forums etc, calling for JM's head. So if he was to go, who do we get. I don't watch much European footie to have a clue who's out there to replace him and who's available. Someone with PL experience but who's available.
Would it be worth trying to get Kompany, at least he knows the PL.

So who?
Kompany isn’t a bad shout or we wait for Chelsea to Sack Potter, wonder if we could tempt Andre Villas-Boas back into football.

I’m convinced we’ll get Armas as a temporary one and it will be reviewed game by game

He’s a nailed on certainty to get the gig. And a nailed on certainty to take us down.

The 49ers need reminding that there is a thing called relegation in England. It’s as though they’re so busy trying to appeal to the American market that they’re neglecting the thing that really matters.

A case of Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

I’ve a genuine worry at this time re a new appointment. This is the fourth coach this board has appointed, they’ve got three of those disasterously wrong. That’s a one in four chance they’ll get the next one right. Wouldn’t fill you with much confidence I’m afraid

Kompany won't come.

Potter might not get sacked at Chelsea.

Andre Villas Boas is interesting but won't be cheap. It would be a long contract too.

This.

At the risk of upsetting the forum this is almost always my go to question.

I'm OK with sacking Marsch, I really am. Results are not good enough.

Who is available and who can we get?

The answer was Dyche by a couple of lads but I'm of the opinion he wouldn't work here with this set of players. That's opinion only. Plenty would say he'd be better.

Doc says Sampaoli and he might be good but currently unavailable.

Bielsa was on his way to relegating us last season and the dressing room had split on him. He wouldn't touch us as he won't even pick up the phone to the club about renaming the training ground after him.

I'm a big fan of Corberan. He's done really well since leaving us. Would he leave West Brom so soon after taking over? Unlikely. Probably would in the summer if they don't go up.

Lampard? <laugh>

Gerrard? <laugh>

Pulis, Big Sam etc

Any of them better than we are right now?
People thought Brighton would go into free fall when Potter left, the new guy has done a great job keeping them where they are, there must be others out there, whether we can find them is another matter. The name Luis Enrique I've seen mentioned a few times.

The only realistic option is corboran in my opinion, as they know him and he left on decent terms I believe… he’d be a good shout.

Kompany is going to be a really good manager. He’s bought well and his team play great football. He’s a smart guy. Don’t think he’d come. He’s going to be in the prem next season with Burnley… come here and he might not. If he was available he’d probably be my first choice.

Well the bollox made by appointing Marsch needs rectifying. Remember when we scouted this guy for 2 years because our squad would be an easy job for Marsch because style of play between Bielsa and Marsch is similar… what! Nothing like as our guys now just run into each other and seem to do a lot of work but not good productive work.

Without doubt there will be someone but like Eire says, do we trust this board to get it right.

Corberan isn't available right now.

Jesse won't be here next season. The fans won't have him even if we survive. Corberan would be my choice but it will have to be the summer when West Brom fail to go up.

In the mean time Jesse has a job to do.

he’s not available but I think he might be tempted.. whereas kompany wouldn’t be

The reason I mention Sampaoli is just because he likes following his teacher into the same jobs. He did the Argentina job, the Chile job and also Marseille, so why not Leeds. Bielsa also calls him the best coach in the world

Loads of complications, was it the 49ers money we spent in January, are they making the major calls, when Radz sells up is Orta remaining if we go down who’s got release clauses. This is all becoming unthinkable

Fred Grim is still available.

His record is also very grim, despite having been the assistant and caretaker manager of the Dutch team back in 2016/17.

But at least when he checks on here after a 9-0 defeat to read all the various posts saying "god that was grim", he will just think we hero worship him :)

Anyways I propose that we change to a 2-3-5 formation. We already know that we can't defend, so rather than have our defenders make mistakes, if we don't play anyone there, at least it will cut out on the mistakes, although clean sheets will still be difficult to achieve. Probably we also need to invest in someone who is accurate playing long balls, so they can lump it forward to our 5 fast strikers, who are stood on the halfway line, ready to sprint forward (Dan James may just be our saviour) ;)

I’ve been giving this some thought rather than the gut wrenching emotion after yesterday of just sack him.

We’ve really backed ourselves into a corner, at the club, after Jesse, who do we have who knows the players, we’ve allowed them all to leave.

You just know it’s going to be Armas but he’s no different to Jesse, he is probably worse as he doesn’t know the players and if anyone saw him in the dug out yesterday, he looked emotionless

We find ourselves at the wrong end of the table, Championship coaches will either be not good enough or in a promotion battle.

We’ve exited a transfer window where we have spent big backing a coach, it’s a gigantic mess. McKinnie looked lost as did Rutter are they rusty, are we playing a tactic and or formation alien to them.

I sadly think at this very moment in time we have little alternative but to stick with Jesse. I thought it had been suggested in jest before but now thinking about it, yes I’d have Bielsa back, at least he knows a quarter of the team, Gnonto and Adams would be his ideal type of player too.
