Will Arsenal bid for Tiote
Will Manure bid for Cabaye or Tiote
Will MA resist and still give Pards some cash to spend on Debuchy or Douglas
Will MA say sell to buy
Cant wait for the window to shut.

Tbf, I think Jonas is nearing the end of his effectiveness. His forward running at the fullback was practically none existant yesterday, which is what we need him to be doing.

personally, I can't see any more signings coming in. We'd have to sell to sign. MA has a tight ship to run...and he can only spend money which he has. It makes sense, but it's cruel, as we do desperately need a good RB. But logic is cruel and unkind sometimes...

At least it's not as bad as the old days when FF Shepherd plunged us into debt by signing a so called super star on astronomical wages...with all this moaning about lack of signings, you have to admit - that the club is in better shape than it was (we could have folded...remember that)...

It would be foolish to start doing down the likes of Jonas and Simmo because of one average game at Chelsea. Simmo had a good game the previous week at Spurs. Kept one of the best in the league relatively quiet. Jonas has had a slow start but then so have Cabaye, and others. Lets be straight Cisse has been our poorest player by a stretch so far, nobody is claiming he should discarded. Too many short memories for me. I've got plenty of faith in our current squad. If we add a centre back, or a full back, or a striker, two of those three or all three then great. If not I'm still happy with our current squad and we look set for a good season.

We have three good RBs

I agree Cisse has been shocking so far this season (and pre-season) but I don't think the criticism levied at Simpson is based on one poor game. He gets TOO much stick, but its for genuine reasons...He backs off his man too much, inviting crosses and creating space. His positional awareness is poor and this is exploited by the opposition. He adds very little going forwards as he doesn't have great pace, trickery or first time crossing ability. As I said, he gets unnecessary stick quite a lot of the time, but its not entirely unfounded!

But it is offset by goal line clearances, blocks and generally excellent commitment to his defensive work. Its massively overstated the backing off thing. Look at the Spurs game. People were trying to blame him for the Spurs goal! God forbid we actually pinpoint the real reason it came about and actually criticise Benni.

The reason he can sometimes look miles away from the winger is not only backing off, it is the way Pardew sets up defensively. He likes a narrow defence with full backs tucked in tight. I agree with this philosophy completely. Its easier to defend a wide ball than allowing mountains of space in the channels. Its better suited to the way modern teams set up.

He is a very solid full back. I want Santon playing there but I like Danny. He gets a very raw deal off the supporters.
