Darkies, pakis and chinkys have been used longer than Hun, and over time they became offensive, now Hun has became offensive too because of guys like Rebs and Dev using the term hun to "cause offence".

I thought we accepted that the word hun was being used by Celtic fans in a derogatory manner though?

If so, can a derogatory term only be deemed offensive if it is against an entire race of people?

Look, it's pointless to argue about what is offensive and what isn't. If ONE person is offended by something it therefore, by definition, becomes offensive.

No we didn't. We have never agreed on that. You're not reading what I'm saying. I said that, to me, Hun means someone who supports Rangers, ergo, if the word Hun was offensive that would mean Rangers fans are offensive.

Again, I've only ever seen Dev explaining the word Hun as meaning a Rangers fan.

Anyway, to **** with this. Let's just agree to disagree.

As I said before, no one on here had any problem with the word until that ****ing fruitloop Medro turned up and started moping about going to the police and making up bullshit about the meaning.

You said that, of all the descriptions I found of the word "hun", the one you chose to describe Rangers fans was "barbarians". You also said previously that, and I quote, "Huns, like Rangers fans, were notorious for causing trouble everywhere they went hence the comparison."

What is that if it isn't derogatory? You're tying yourself in knots here ST! <laugh>

Did I? No, I seem to recall I specifically said that if Medro finds it offensive then that's his concern, i'm not going to start moderating my own posts just because someone finds particular words offensive.

It is not meant to be offensive but if Medro or others think I mean it that way then it's they who have the problem.

It doesn't work that if you find something offensive then it has to be stopped, but if you are labelling people in a way that is deemed offensive to them then it is fine, because you are not offended.

I've just realised that the whole world revolves around dev and his child like fantasies. Let's all bow down to dev and take his word as gospel.
 
Some taigs on here are ok but some like ST and Webel prove themselves to be ignorant to the world and media around them who STATE that HUN is offensive but because Meil Lemmon hasn't said so it's ok to use it
