I cant tell you what you may or may not find sectarian or offensive.
It's neither sectarian nor offensive to me personally if that's what you're asking. Come to think of it, I cant say I've ever met a Celtic fan who has been offended by that word either. In fact nearly all of them, in my experience, use that word often to describe themselves when asked what team they support. Maybe this whole "offended" craze is confined to the written word only? Or in the form of song?

I have to laugh at these bold fellows, bleating about the use of the word "Hun" and how it is offensive/racist/sectarian.
Strange thing is they have never -as far as i'm aware -complained about the language in daily use by Girvan, an outspoken and obvious bigot. His ****e must just be harmless inoffensive banter.

Well according to Nil By Mouth both Hun and Tim are sectarian and offensive yet I don't know a single Celtic fan who has ever claimed "Tim" to be sectarian or offensive. Hun has been the word for Rangers fans since I was a lad (a long time ago), only in recent times have people started to claim it meant Protestant but there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back up that claim.
NBM asked a group of schoolkids which words they thought were sectarian and offensive and they said "Hun" and "tim", I think it's patently clear that's nonsense.
Hun means destructive barbarians, that's all.
You're unable to see both sides of an argument. You can't accept that there's any moral equivalence between using the words 'Hun' and 'Fenian' and hide behind technicalities when pressed on the issue. You use the word in its derogatory Scottish context, but rationalise your behaviour by saying that definition isn't in an American online dictionary.
I personally don't care whether you use the word, what I object to is your double-standards on the issue.

You guys feel that you can't use the word Fenian anymore and demand that A.N Other word be banned as retribution and in some desperate "both as bad as each other" ****e, have decided that Hun is offensive.
The two words are completely different in their context (not that Fenian offends me at all - I don't like Taig, if I'm honest as it's clearly racial - I'm not religious so being called a rattler or a candle-eater or some other nonsense doesn't bother me either).
The two words are not the same.
When I went to an RC school, I was told that I went to a fenian school and my parents went to a fenian chapel.
There are no hun churches and no hun schools.
A Hun supports or plays for Rangers.
My Aberdeen-supporting teuchter relatives are CoS and use the word hun to describe Rangers fans all the time.
This is ****ing tiresome

Nope, it's a fact that some Rangers fans are offended by the word 'Hun', some Celtic fans on here, Dev, Stereo and Rebel have admitted that they use the word in a derogatory sense in a bid to "OFFEND" Rangers fans. Do I get offended by the word Hun, no, but under our new legislation, offensive words and behaviours are punishable in court. Regardless if its calling me a hun, someone a ****, and dare I say it, the referee a ****er.
You find the word Taig offensive, I have called me Sellick supporting mates Taigs in the past, not because they were Catholics or Irish, but because they are Sellick fans. It's blatently plain to see that many of the not606 Celtic community want to have their cake and eat it.
But, where I grew up, you called a Celtic fan a fenian, and they called you a Hun/DOB/Proddy ****, but Celtic fans decided that Fenian offended them, driven by an agenda, yet I have heard the PMFA song sung a few times now.
Seems it's only offensive when non-Celtic fans say it. Strange that.
Using one derogatory and offensive term is in no way comparable to using another derogatory and offensive term.
