The Montreal circuit is not the best at draining off water even though it's on an island, I don't really see how, unless you can work miracles, anything can really be done, Let's face it there was standing water about 50mm deep in places and no-one in any formula can race in those condirions, it was just a downpour. I've been on a motorway in rain like that and all the traffic came to a standstill, we waited until it stopped and moved on. it's just the way God likes it sometimes !
All this talk of higher ground clearance will not work, there is simply too much water on the track, the only safe thing to do is 'stop the race'.
I thought it made a very wet British Sunday much more exciting, only major issue was, made the roast lunch a bit later.
