is that the same source that had you convinced he wasnt going to join norwich in the first place? i need to get myself a source...just so i can say i have one... to be honest i dont think bates it the only problem with leeds...- one of the biggest problems is the ease at which you guys seem to turn on your players in recent years and get on their backs...yet still expect these players to bleed effort for you...
Snodgrass gave an interview on canaries player saying he wanted to move here when we made the offer last summer and said he's moved on from Leeds. I know he's not going to turn up and say I just want the money but he seemed glad to be here, I'm not too worried about him leaving too soon and not to Leeds I imagine he would want to on somewhere that's competing in Europe in a few years if he's good enough.
Well fact is, as pointed above the buy back clause could be double what we paid for him, which wouldn't be bad business. I can't see Leeds going up this season (no offense Simon, not trying to wind you up just my opinion) as long as they have Bates and are signing players like Diouf. I know your defense has been improved considerably with Peltier, Pearce and Drury but at the end of the day you lost your best creative source in Snodgrass and still don't understand why Clayton was let go.
If it makes you feel any better, then go ahead and believe it, but I can promise you that going along with a buy-back clause if Leeds happen to get promoted, does not sound like the sort of thing our CEO McNally would sanction. I´ll believe it when and if I see it, both the buy-back clause and Leeds getting promoted.
I completely agree. I'm only repeating what's been said. And this is someone who has contacts with the players and who the press defer to for news about the takeover.
BTW this is exactly what was said: "i've had dealings with snoddy and i think in all honesty he might have made a bad choice which i think he knew hence the buy back deal in his contract, that said he makes his own decisions but he may look back with regret." (obviously he didn't put that bit in bold himself) This is all I know, but he is about as ITK as it is possible to be. EDIT: The bit about the "bad choice" follows on from comments about Snoddy not trusting the takeover, possibly referring to him hedging his bets just in case.
Bob Snod has forgotten Leeds already now he is in the best county in England with his old team mates. What a lot of garbage I know things are bad up there but how many straws do you need to clutch at If he is as good as he is supposed to be we will have been raided by one of the big 6 and sold him for 20 million b4 you ever get back in the PL
Lol so Snoddy insisted on a buy back cos he knew he was making a bad decision? Why didn't he just make a good decision? Basically if he's good we sell him on to a decent prem side for 10m and if he's ****e we sell him back to Leeds for a profit ;-)
What an absolute load of rubbish! He THINKS Snodgrass MIGHT have made a bad choice which he THINKS is the reason why Snodgrass has a buy-back clause. After that quote, I wouldn't believe a word he - whoever he is - says. He sounds about as much ITK as I am at the flippin' Pentagon!
All I'll say mate is that this is the same person the press use for information about the takeover and the chairman of the group the players used to release their statement. He's about as trustworthy as they come, believe me. The important thing isn't the reason he thinks there might be a buy-back clause, it's the fact he's said there is one, and if he says so I believe him.
Your reasons for not doing so? Because as a Leeds United fan I know who he is and the kind of information he has access to.
Well, even though it makes absolutely no difference, and there is about a 5% chance that Leeds could buy him back, I don't believe him. If he has had "dealings with Snoddy", yet he still thinks Snodgrass might know he's made the wrong choice, what sort of "dealings" has he had? Poker? Maybe Top Trumps?
