want to do 5 million if I can stop smokers, Im 63 knackered, aint got enough money to promote this, this is the first time and way of maybe affecting a change, If one person, and it wont be me, jacks it in, or never starts, will be worth all the hours on the key board, five million. gonna transcend this to elsewhere , might be the only worthwhile thing Ive ever done in my life, but all you SAFC fans can do a bit,

Davros, few links for you.

"This study shows that active and passive smoking in late pregnancy are associated with adverse effects on weight and gestational age at birth." http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-3016.2007.00916.x/abstract

Study on second hand smoke (SHS) to heart disease and peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
"In China, SHS exposure in women is highly prevalent. In addition to being a risk factor for coronary heart disease, SHS should be considered an important risk factor for ischemic stroke and PAD in nonsmoking women."
http://circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/CIRCULATIONAHA.108.784801v1

This one just for the crack: http://iai.asm.org/cgi/content/abstract/79/1/229

2004: To examine the associations between a biomarker of overall passive exposure to tobacco smoke (serum cotinine concentration) and risk of coronary heart disease and stroke. http://www.bmj.com/content/329/7459/200.short

---

that do you for now ?

on another note the ban has led to a much nicer selection of outside area's. I'm a none smoker but ex-bar-worker, fact i didnt have to breath in smoke hours at a time for my five quid an hour is pretty nice from my perspective, course the extra breaks smokers get woulda been nice, c'est la vie

The Daily Telegraph
By Peter Hutchison 6:30AM BST 05 Apr 2011
The UK Independence Party, which is fielding a full list of regional candidates in the Scottish Parliament election next month, said MSPs should be replaced at Holyrood by Westminster MPs with constituencies in Scotland.

Launching its manifesto in Edinburgh, the party also said it planned to restrict immigration, repeal the Human Rights Act, SCRAP THE SMOKING BAN, and end subsidies for “monstrous, climate-irrelevant, cost-ineffective wind farms”.

That'll do for me. Vote UKIP !!!!

Without even opening the link I can see that it will not be objective by the very fact it is produced by the pro-smoking pressure group FOREST.

you never did comment on the articles i posted davros, i do hope in the last month sometime you have started smoking in a nursery or something similar so you can explain to all the mums and dads that its quite alright, only the person breathing the cig smoke is at risk, no wait, we all breath it, only the person sucking on it ? i forget how do you magically clean the smoke again ?
