SMC groundsmen gone

Well for what it's worth I used to do the divots as a volunteer in 93/94 and 94/95. I got a free ticket way back then for it too, though it meant finishing pretty late on an evening match, often around 11pm.
 
In life, I always try to not jump to conclusions – sit back and let the story and facts form first, then decide.

But with this story, given our knowledge of the Allams, it’s really hard not to jump to a conclusion that they’re being ruthless ****s again.

Reactions to this story are akin to say being burgled, and the prints they find on your window are from a well known recidivist.

Our course it might not be him, but what does rationale suggest.

Cry wolf , give a dog a bad name . Well the Allams have plenty of history when getting shut of loyal servants to City .

Care to point out where I, and in fact ToM and Chazz, have defended the actions of the Allams (even though we don't know who actually did the sacking/dismissing/letting go)?

As far as I'm aware the turnstile operators used to get free tickets into the game, although only when the turnstile closed and cash etc accounted for. Is that why the club got rid of them? Do the programme sellers still get free entry instead of a wage?

The half time draw ticket sellers in corporate lost theirs a few years back.

There might be very good reasons for both things, there might not

But the issue for me isn't what has been done, it's the way it's been done

If you're going to let volunteers go then ask them to pop in early before the Spurs game, explain to them why they're being let go, thank them for their help over the years, give them the tickets for the Spurs game and tell them that you have people employed to do it after them game, so please enjoy the game without needing to sort the pitch after...oh and by the way here are some vouchers for food and drink

But what do I know?...

Maybe not in advance, but you could very easily have a photo shoot with them at the Spurs game and release something saying what an excellent job they've done, but we've decided to employ people instead etc
Half a brain and you could spin it favourably if you had to

Did I think CTWD were a bunch of self serving ****s who tried to make out they were noble, and doing it for the masses? Yes I did.

Did I think the Chairman of CTWD was a 2 faced **** who said one thing, while privately saying something else? (That's being dishonest btw). Yes I did.

Did you admire him for that? Of course you did. Lieing and duplicitous, how could you not?

Has anyone actually got any actual idea what the hell has gone with 2 of the groundsmen and the divitors, and why?

Is divitor even a word?

Have we got any groundsmen left at the club?

That's what I meant. It really should be a piece of piss marketing a Premier League club. Did you read the bullshit in the supporters meeting minutes about the City of Culture. ****s they are, but we knew that already.
