Looking at wiki, in his time at CSKA, there was very little squad movement in his time there and he only found success from his third season onwards.

original I think he tried to get someone in during the summer, but part of the reason was given to 'visa issues'. From what I hear that might be something to do with a certain owners ability to or wanting to, pay. And I don't mean by Barclaycard Visa.

We also kept Dawson, Meyler and McGregor from last season's squad. So the backbone of the team was still in place although the injury to Hermandez was a massive blow.
We have bought some talented players but it does seem as though Slutsky doesn't know how or where to play them. He also looks like a nervous wreck on the touchline and appears to offer no instructions or anything.
I think he will be given more time but a huge improvement is required quickly.

Nigel Adkins name came up a few days ago didn't think anymore about it till today when a couple of city old heads who keep in contact with ex city players brought it up again . Can anyone see it happening

So, maybe. Just depends on Slutsky's contract. If he's got a 3-year contract then it's not happening. Someone mentioned something about him not relocating his family over here until he's been in the job 6 months. Maybe there's a mutual termination clause at 6 months (9 December). If that's the case then, maybe.

Yes, I think in an interview he said that his family would come over if he was still in the job by Christmas.

I believe there were a number of names allegedly interested, Slutsky got the job because Ehab thought he`d utilise his friendship with Abramovic, and get a team on the cheap. He is under performing on a massive scale, the squad we have aint no world beaters, but an organiser would get a better tune out of them, give them belief, and get us further up the table then we are currently. I like Sluts as a bloke, but as a manager he couldn`t organise a piss up in a brewery
