The boards very slow at the moment, has anybody got any friends that go to the games but don't use not606?

Get them to sign up and take part and bring it back to life again.

Tell them they'll get introductory rep from all the senior posters to get them off to a good start.

Watch out for that Obi trying to pass off as a newbie though.
 
Hello, lads and lasses, sorry to have been a stranger for a while, but life, love, work and new grand babies have all taken over, but not necessarily in that order.

Hope everyone is doing well, l have been reading the forum almost every day, but have not posted much of note in ages, however, the chance to wish Obertan away proved to much of a temptation.lol

Pleased something brought you out of self confinement.
 
I check the forum every few days, dont post much as i find the replies go off topic to much after the first 3-4 replies. I supose its a quiet time team wise & transfer wise, we need some transfer gossip, competitions & old footage from the 90s to reminisce on. :-)

Do you think it might have had something to do with the thread changing direction from a statue at SOL to discussing Sir Bobby...

It wasn't out of hand at all really. I'd just written a thread replying to smug and it was closed when tried to post it. No big deal, GC got a bee in his bonnet about it and had the closing word saying we got Sir Bobby Robson the sack, which was a bit sly.

It is very rare for a thread to stay on track on any given topic, and there was no racist, sexist or homophobic comments in that one, which in my opinion should set the bench marks of why threads should get closed..

just suggesting a reason why GCM may have closed it.

Personal insults and foul abusive language maybe, but I didn't see anything like that on the thread.
