Slovenia coach Srecko Katanec says he would prefer England to not play captain Wayne Rooney for their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
"Wayne Rooney is a leader of this team, he has the experience a captain needs and it is quite hard to substitute him or leave him out," Katanec said.
"Because of his experience and quality I would rather he would not start than he does start."
Rooney is set to start as a substitute for the game.

You could say that about quite a few of them, though. Form's irrelevant, apparently.

There's been absolutely no difference, barring the odd selection of Lingard, who he's worked with in the U21s.
Why has Pickford been called up? He'll sit on his arse and learn nothing. He could do that at home.
Why not play him in the U21 side and gain some more experience? I think he's got a decent future, but this doesn't help him.
