Well Steve Bruce, after tonight has jumped to 3rd favorite to be sacked. He is now priced at 5/1.

Only Steve Kean and Neil Warnock are above him.

The next couple of games will define Steve Bruce sunderland career.

I can see him going if we lose our next couple of games. It maybe too soon in the season, but after last season, and the 10 new signings we would expect something better.

I mean come on, 4-6-0 is a bit s**t. I fear, with this squad we will be 12th or lower.

I do feel we are not as strong as last season, mainly strikers. I cannot see us scoring enough goals, and I do fear we will be in a relegation battle.

Most teams have scorers, heck I think I would take Kenwyne Jones back. We have no goalscorers....
I think with this current squad we are being ambitious with top 10. Look at the teams around us, the have scorers.

Bolton - Davies, Klasnic
Wolves - Doyle, Fletcher
Fulham - Zamora, Dempsey, Johnson
Stoke - Jones, Fuller
Villa - Bent, Heskey, Agbonlahor
Everton - Cahil, Saha, Beckford.

The list goes on.

We have Gyan. Bruce seems to think Sessegnon is a striker after a few decent games at pre-season... against Hartlepool, Hibs etc hardly premiership quality.

I also am bewildered why Gordon has not been offered a new contract...even just a 1 year extension to get fit. When fit, he is by far one of the best keepers in the prem....

At the moment I am not asking for Bruce to be sacked, but I do fear he is living on borrowed time.
