The term 'legend' is overused in football, but not in Sir Bobby's case. You've left behind generations of football supporters who have great respect for you.

I man everyone aspires to be! A true gentleman and is still badly missed! I remember going to St. James' Park to put a Newcastle top there when he died. The support and different amount of shirts there was unbelievable.

Happy Birthday Sir Bobby, thanks for looking down on us and long may it continue!

What a bellend, you cant just appreciate a great mans life without a pathetic dig at NUFC. Piss off if that's all you can muster about a true legend.

Think he had a word with him up stairs, remember we lost 6-1 at Leyton Orient the week before he died.

Ferguson got lucky, Cantona saved his job. if it wasnt for him Fergie would have got the sack and then what happens... Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Nevilles. all came through the youth team. these becoming some of the greatest players that have played in the premier league. this put united on the map big time and along with it a mass of funds he was able to maintain Manchester United. im not gonna doubt it abilitys he is a great manager but he has been extremely lucky and has only really made a huge impact with one team.

Now for Robson, The man traveled the world. hes held in such high regard in portugal, holland and spain as well as england, winning trophys whilst managing in all these countrys. he nurtured one of the best managers in the world in Mourinho. He discovered one of the worlds best strikers in Ronaldo. The man has done more for football "Globally" than ferguson ever will. and to quote fergie...

"I was never too big or proud to ask him for advice, which he gave freely and unconditionally. And I'm sure I am speaking for a lot of people when I say that. I mourn the passing of a great friend, a wonderful individual, a tremendous football man and somebody with passion and knowledge of the game that was unsurpassed."

    Now kindly **** off! :)

You complete and utter ****! Not only can you clearly not read, but you blatantly have no sense of decorum or class...Using a thread about the birthday of a man who died little over a year ago, in order to have a 'deluded geordie' dig is the lowest I've seen a rival fan sink since the West Ham fans sang about Glenn Roeder's brain tumour.

You are actual scum, please never return to our boards, your opinion is not welcome here!
