One for the conspiracists.
MS knew Porto were after him but knew they wouldn't pay compensation, he didn't want the automatic extension in his City contract triggering, so he puts out duff teams for Sunderland and CP.
No I don't believe it either but stranger things have surely happened.
He's currently unemployed and is going to go with whatever job he feels is the right move for him, that's not an 'overdeveloped sense of self-worth', it's common sense.
Who the **** thinks a job in the English second tier, working for a complete bellend, is better than managing Porto?
OK, when it became clear that City were more likely to go down than stay up (before Sunderland) Porto decided they'd get rid of Santo and give MS the nod. Maybe he never wanted the Soton job at all, the 'I want to stay in the PL' was just a load of flannel? This works as long as you ignore the fact that if he had kept us up he would've got the Southampton job this summer - or better - and he'd probably have preferred that.
And how did he know 3 weeks ago that the Porto job would come up?
Think it'll be more the fact of champions league footballGoing home.. Who can blame him. But who have you got to test yourself against..Benfica, Boavista. Sporting Lisbon...Not exactly the premier league is it?
my point was that if Silva wanted to achieve his preferred option of managing in the prem, the most likely way he would get to do that was by staying with us because I can't see how any other prem club would want him. I don't understand why you're such a chippy bastard when it comes to criticism of Silva - he did fail miserably, after all. you can't blame the **** we endured against Palace and Sunderland on Ehab, FFS - the team were unprepared and it looked to me like when it got down to the must-win games, Silva folded under the pressure. He's not the messiah, he's just a manager still learning his trade. He's currently unemployed and is going to go with whatever job he feels is the right move for him, that's not an 'overdeveloped sense of self-worth', it's common sense.

Oh yeah...Six games, probably a few tanking's, then straight to the Europa league. If he's lucky...Think it'll be more the fact of champions league football
Right Choice.....too good for Hull and needs better players to manage to be successful.....

I don't get chippy about criticism of Silva, he obviously made mistakes, I get chippy when someone posts daft ****e.
