I don't think he'll take any permanent contracts we have, at a push - maybe Clucas or Hudd.

Although, Clucas' fee wouldn't represent value for them.

Can't recall a British player doing well out there. That said, I can only recall Gauld and McPhee playing in Portugal.

Eric Dier did alright at Sporting, but he's a bit of fiddle, as he was largely brought up in Portugal.

Eric Dier did, not sure how he got on though.

So Steve McClaren telling FiveLive that he was talking to a 'local' club about becoming the gaffer and that he was looking forward to getting back into management might be code for he's KC bound...His wife is a Hull girl so maybe the local is local.

He was as short as 1/2 to be next Wigan manager, but he's dropped out to 6/1 today.

i heard this morning that he flew out last night came from my boss who knows someone who works within the club look like goodbye Marco

The meeting with Ehab was planned in for tomorrow, it makes perfect sense to go to Porto first see what is on offer and come to the table with "Match this or I go". He will do what is right for him. We all know that. We could have the best owners in the country, it made no difference when he came here so it will make no difference if he stayed.

Said yesterday it was a done deal he had gone.

McLaren is the obvious fit as both sides are desperate.

It may be sensible to see what Porto has to offer, but if he had any intentions of considering Hull he'd be acting a lot more discreetly. As it stands he may struggle to look like anything bit desperate if he stays, knowing what the press are reporting and the perception he'd be only here because he couldn't get away.
