I thought today was a bit of a back to reality moment , few people ( myself included ) started to think staying up was going to be a piece of piss after the performances against the big guns , lack of cutting edge in the final third really shows in this type of game , it can go unnoticed against the likes of arsenal and Chelsea , because nobody expects you to really score anyway . I'm hoping grosicki is just finding his feet , but haven't seen anything yet to understand why he is such a polish hero , thought markovic was a big loss today ... Still a point more than Sunderland and Swansea got , just hoping Leicester don't get a big manager in next week before they face us

The first half against Arsenal wasn't that good, giving the ball away near our penalty area. I'm more worried about the defensive display recently.

Have to disagree about Maloney, he had a great first half, I admit that it probably didn't look that way at the game, but watching the game online, the pundits showed how he was making life difficult and was creating space.

He created space then passed the ball to Burnley. He's the sort of player you bring on for the last 30 when everyone is tiring, you don't start him. I said before the game on Twitter he doesn't have the legs to start a game and sadly was proven right. He was incredibly ineffective even if he looked pretty with his turns.

I think a more fitting header for this thread should be 'Slava Out'.

Finally I can agree with you about summat syd. <ok>

He needs more time Chazz.

I agree its important the voice of the fans is listened to, and if we demand he goes, he should go, we are after all the most invested in the club and, well, we know everything.

However, I think he at least deserves one more game before we call for him to **** off. Burnley was always going to be a hard game, the way they play, situation they're in etc. Leicester are another matter.

If we can't beat the worst team in the league, then, we have no chance, and we'll need an experienced English manager in to steady the ship and keep us up.

Nah just kidding. But that was bested by a good old English manager playing an English system. Stifled us.
Disaster from start to finish. Hardly any shots. No penetration. Lethargic, sluggish, purposeless.

Marco the subs should have been on at half time. It was that bad.

Was Markovic injured in the warm up?

Maloney was a disaster. Looked great did fantastic turns but produced **** all.
Mbokani did **** all. Sholdnt have come out for the second half.
Growshitski. Bit lazy but badly served by Robbo running at him with the ball. Give him ****ing space to get at his full back.
Elmo. did ok.
N;diaye. Strong when he needed but, as the rest of the team, guilty of not getting cloes enough to them.
Hudd. We know he can spray passes everywhere but why was he 20 yards behind the play?? Why we've been so good is cos hes finally had the balls to do it in the faces of the opposition. Crazy.

Robbo kept running at Groshitski. The last thing you want as a winger. Should have finished the chance he had.
Harry and Ranoccia. Thought the frog was the better of the two myself. Harry ran into trouble trying to bring it out.
Elab. Im really not sure what he is.
Jak. Worst game he's had. His kicking was ****ing shocking. Did anyone see him wincing and holding his groin??

We just didnt seem to be at the races. We needed someone to make a statement and hit them hard. we didnt.
Dyche won this battle.

The subs should have been on earleir, especially Abel. There was no reason to drop Niasse.

It may prove costly these 2 dropped points.

I wouldn't say Ranocchia was better than Harry, but I was interested how he defended against Gray. He stuck to him very tightly and didn't allow him to turn him, except for that one chance Gray should have taken. Overall impressed with him again.

As others have said we clearly still la k cutting edge when one of our wingers is out of the team. I thought the subs were good ones but we ended up with a pretty defensive 5 man midfield because of a lack of options. I know people like Elmo on the wing but he just isn't explosive enough for me to play that high up the pitch. His whole strength lies in coming from deep. On the wing he seems like a safe, defensive option but he's never going to blow them wide open like Kamil and Markovic can.

I don't think I like Elmo in the team anymore full stop. He's a **** full back and he's showing himself to be an average winger these days.

Reality check seems to be the words that keep getting repeated.

I've had a bit of a kicking recently for daring to suggest the future isn't a land of plenty...

I rate the manager's efforts and attention to detail, but I still believe we are in a very dangerous position and it will take some luck to scrape through.

The fact people point to our draw being the fault of a couple of missing players who have been here five minutes shows we are clutching a bit.

I do think we can stay up, though, and repeat that packed houses and vocal support is a must to push the team that little bit harder.

At the game I thought it was elmo who blazed our injury time chance into row Z ... Just watched highlights and saw it was actually star striker Hernandez

The benefit of sitting at home and watching the game on the telly, seeing everything over and over again from many angles rather than being at the game and seeing it live, once and from miles away.

Oh no that's wrong isn't it. :emoticon-0105-wink:

No matter how it looked online I was at the game yesterday and Maloney was probably the most wasteful of the whole team .. he looks great until the final ball .. he even admitted himself in the after match interview he made some poor choices with his final ball.

Was looking forward to the game and was really disappointed.
Too deep.
Too slow.
Mbok isolated.
Didn't commit men forward when we were attacking.

The last few games have been exciting, need to get back to it next week.

I do think that Douche set up Burnley well to deal with us but we really didn't put them under any pressure.
