I think the whole thing has been put together based on being in the Premier League and if we don't get there, it will be changed..

If we dont make it back into the premier league, and it does get changed back, I will still only go to away games, its only a matter of time before some other rushed hairbrain scheme will piss us all off again, I,ve finally had enough of them (the Allams).

Strawberry came up with the idea of a membership based system, but they obviously didn't decide things like the pricing, or closing the West Upper.

Brilliant Ben,well done. I'm mailing Clive Betts with my own story (Grandson ticket up from £60 to £486) see what he thinks about children prices in football at Hull City ADC.
Even if we move to the very cheapest seat, and why should we, it will still cost £252 for his lsat years £60.
Why the hell aren't the national papers picking up on this.
Interesting to see if Betts responds.

• May I add my voice to those of the many hon. Members who have congratulated Leicester City on their premier league win? To win the title as 5,000:1 outsiders is a truly remarkable achievement. I am a regular member of the parliamentary football team and sadly odds of 5,000:1 are about right for us just to win a match. However, all hon. Members are welcome to come and watch our next match at Millwall on 23 May, when we will mark the 20th anniversary of “Show Racism the Red Card”.
  
  
  
  The average age of a premier league season ticketholder is now well into the 40s, and there is a real concern that younger people are being priced out of the game. May we have a debate on what more can be done to enable the next generation of football fans to attend premier league matches regularly?

  I echo the hon. Gentleman’s comments about Leicester City’s extraordinary achievement, which will live in the annals of sport in this country for a long time to come. Of course, we will all be cheering them on in the champions league next year. It is also appropriate to express our congratulations and condolences to Tottenham Hotspur. At the start of the season, nobody would have expected the top two in the premier league to be Leicester and Tottenham Hotspur.
  
  
  
  The hon. Gentleman makes an important point about premier league prices. I commend those clubs that are trying to make cheaper tickets available to young people. It is of paramount importance that in today’s world football is a family occasion in a way that it was not perhaps a generation ago. If we look back to the terrible events at Hillsborough that were described in the House a few days ago, we can see that it was a different world. Football has become a much more family-friendly and open place. We would not want that to change because of high prices.

You detect correct zen, I've done the three you mention but after all our pre season friendlies I have a soft spot for Winterton, I've been going to west street instead of KC home games, the football's not the greatest but it's honest ........ I enjoy it!

I think those terms and conditions are there, because they're for the existing scheme, as it is still current. The ones for the new scheme are posted elsewhere, and were on here as it was first launched and discussed at the time as well as later.

Obviously lacking the same emotional impact as our issues, but over here a telco called Optus has bought the rights to the EPL for the next three seasons, paying triple what the current provider was paying. They're proposing to only show the games to people who have their internet or phone contracts with them on a locked in 24-month contract. They somehow seem to think that people will be willing to pay roughly 1000 pounds over two years to watch content that shows between 12-5am. Their response?

"Optus has brushed aside protests from English Premier League football fans unhappy at its plans for broadcasting the competition from next season, saying its proposed packages offer cost effective options to watch matches."

Sounds a bit familiar..
