Dawson isn't the right man imo. Strange to think he captained Spurs for years, he's so quiet, he doesn't command the troops from what I can see.

I would say Alex Bruce, but I don't think he'll be playing regular enough in the future to make it worthwhile, and just imagine the outrage some of the more narrow minded would have about it.

Paul McShane, another one perfect for it but similar to Bruce, won't play enough, probably won't even be here next season (I do hope he is).

Chesters not captain material either.

Huddlestone and Livermore are, defenders excluded, probably the two loudest on the pitch, but I wouldn't like a captain who's a big jessy that bottles challenges.

They can keep calling him 'Captain' if they want. The reality on the pitch matters more and Dawson has been more in command in defence.
