What amazes me is that we sack a manager minutes after a game, with no plan A or B as to who is taking over from him. I assume his sacking was discussed some weeks earlier and if he didn't get that win against Bolton he was history. Given that, you would think any chairman worth his salt would have someone lined up....But this is Sunderland....let the misery be dragged out for a while longer, whats another few defeats eh!!
I think they had one eye on the calendar when that decision was made mate. One game caretakered followed by the international break gives them some breathing space to find someone before the next game.
Lets see Burley....I really don't see any substantial movement and thats a worry. He cannot mess this appointment up.
