But I like to try the local beers whenever I'm away.
Be careful in Belgium though. The average strength of beers over there are between 6% and 8%
I found the boat awful. Been on it twice. First time wasnt so bad cos I got hammered (which numbed the pain) although I spent the last part of the trip to Holland hoying up in the foyer whilst everybody was waiting there to disembark. I spent the second worst hangover that I have ever had in Amsterdam. 2nd time we werent hammered (so to enjoy Amsterdam with a clear head) and we just found the whole trip boring. Trip was just filled with minor irritants. Couldnt wait to get off.

You can get weed easy over there, multiple whorehouses with beautiful eastern European women and you can go on the live firing range for a laugh with your mates so you can say yous have done something. Beer is supposed to be really good over there too.
You're a drinker so Germany or czech republic or somewhere like would probably be best for you.
To touristy now and everything is closing down. The weed is ****e, I can promise your mate that. No good for drinking as the bars are situated all over the place and it's not like you can just go bar to bar in one street.
If you go on the boat the waters are choppy as **** this time of year. Go to a pharmacy and buy some anti sickness tablets and start taking them 3 or 4 days before you leave. Trust me you'll need them. Take a few beers in your bag onto the boat and drink them in your room before you go to the bar cos it's pricey as ****.

I've not told the bairn. She thinks we are just going to Amsterdam again. I've also been told the odds aren't in our favour for seeing them although January is supposed to be as good a time as any for seeing them
