Posted on here a while ago to say thankyou for buying Shelvey and was shot down as a bitter Swan. Still glad he is no longer a Swansea player but how is he doing for you guys? And this is not a WUM, am genuinely interested in your opinion of him.

He'll be an important championship player for us. The only reason to buy from Swansea really 
He gets a few chances to show his technique during games, outside of the boot passes to the wing, little flicks here are there.... none of them particularly effective or game changing

How much good does that 12 million do you personally?
None would be the answer.
How much good does the 12 million do Swansea? Will it replace the aging core? Probably not.
We've got a player who will probably be our championship engine for the next 5 years and retire a semi-respected journeyman. 12 mill is probs a fair deal, if above the going rate for that kind of player. But calm down, we've hardly done a Liverpool.
I'm very calm dude, especially now we've escaped the relegation battle. Funny how we started winning games when he left.
Are you sure that Shelvey'll stay with you guys if your relegated? pretty optimistic to me but one thing is for sure here at Swansea we prefer having £12m than Shelvey

You aren't the club's accountant, you aren't an agent getting 5%, you're a Swansea fan who will have to hope that the fictional electronic cash in the chairman's account is spent on better players so you aren't struggling again
Read my post again, not a hint of bitterness. He has undoubted talent but a self destructive side to his personality and as I said before am genuinely interested. But if you don't want to discuss it fair enough.

First time we've struggled since we got to the prem dude so we're not used to it, hopefully wont happen again, not a good feeling is it?
We didn't lose anything in the transfer window, we simply sold a playerwe wanted to sell. He wasn't settled here it came across in him under performing; far too often for our liking. Not saying Shelvey is no good either, he's certainly more than adequate for the championship and your squad would be better with him but, that's only if he decides to stay with you if you do go down and my opinion is he wont.
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season, except for next week of course
It would have helped if he'd not bad-mouthed the Swans when he left by saying he'd been 'forced out' and so on, which was absolute rubbish by the way. He could have endeared himself to the fans a little by actually performing instead of waving his arms around and trying to ping Hollywood passes everywhere that didn't come off. The last straw for us was his shameful performance during the Cup defeat at Oxford. Can't blame some of our guys for a bit of schadenfreude.
I don't wish the Toon any ill - far from it - I'd much prefer the Mackens go down. Horrible lot. But you have to agree it's pretty ironic that Shelvey's now in this predicament.

It's also ironic that, as soon as we start finally spending on proper british players and big money at that... We tumble down the league at record speed.
It's like god is saying to Ashley 'too little too late fatty.. It's karma time'.
Sad times.
A lot of fans would rather we stayed up over the Mackems it seems but at least with the mackems you get a team that fights. Our lot would shame the EPL next season IMHO.
I hope you bounce back if you do go down, but please take those odious little mackems with you, and make sure the muppets don't come back, what a classes less bunch...............
