Not of interest to everyone I know but I recall having quite a long discussion with somebody on here about the founding of Guernsey FC this year (I think it was Mod Face?).

Anyway just to let you know that my new second team was accepted into the Combined Counties League (6th tier of English Non-League System) and played its first ever competitive game today against Knaphill winning 5-0. Great day for Guernsey football!

Who knows maybe in my lifetime GFC might get into the football league, draw NUFC in the cup and I'll get to see the Toon without having to travel! :)

The riots in Tottenham just remind me of this from South Park:

To be fair the lad who was killed deserved it, he shot a policeman beforehand ffs. What did they expect to happen?
They can protest all they want but they can't take away from the fact that the bloke was in the wrong and they're only making it worse for themselves (the pigs will have that area on lockdown for months and maybe years to come now).

You can tell a lot of them are just using the protests as an excuse to riot and then most of the rest are just there to watch the spectacle unfold.
Wonder how long this stand-off lasts? Definitely in real danger of clashes between the police and the rioters.
