Noticed at lunch that the one of the main objection of the strikers today is that they are going to have to work longer before getting pensions and I’m going to blame the government for this.
For decades they extolled the virtues of living a healthy life.
Don’t smoke.
Drink in moderation.
Be active.
Eat healthy foods.
By doing this (and with advancements in modern medicine), they have extended our lives and as we’re living longer; we have to have more savings to last the extra duration.
The solution is simple.
Remove taxes from cigarettes and alcohol, heavily tax gyms and vegetables, make public transport dirt cheap so we don’t have to walk anywhere, give petrol away and reduce the cost of cars by 75% so that everyone can drive anywhere. Make health care truly expensive so that we don’t use it.
By my estimates, with this implementation we’ll all be dead before 67 at this rate and won’t technically have to work longer.

100% true. When I wasn't working all I wanted to do was get a job. Now I am working all I want to do is sit on my arse all day. Got to be up at 7 tomorrow, life is not fair
