I proposed to my ex in Paris. She then cheated on me and dumped me while at Uni. Thus the reason I hate Swindon Town

I have the same problem, mum thinks I'm mental, dad keeps suspiciously quiet on the subject. In my opinion being married shouldn't change the way you feel about someone, just a very expensive day that I would be more nervous about rather than enjoy. Plus I hate the spotlight being on me <laugh>

<applause> I'm so happy someone agrees with me haha. It's like Valentines Day, I don't agree with that either. People spending shed loads of money on each other? Why? Because "It's a day where you express your love for one another" awwwwhh no. **** is it. it's a corporate money making scheme! If I wanted to, I could express my love for my girlfriend any other day of the year! But i'm skint every other day of the year anyway, so **** that, what different does it make if it's in the middle of February? Naff all!
 
Young age to commit! Thinking about it, I'm 20 soon, so really that sort of age is just over a year for me. Wouldn't ever consider anything like that at that age! You must've been smitten man!

Aye, 2 years ago I was in a relationship for 2 years and this year I had finally started to get money, so I think she was expecting a lot. I had told her that I wasn't going to get anything big, don't know why the **** she thought I would. Anyway got her a card and a box of chocolate from Tesco and we broke up 2 weeks later.

I've been with my girlfriend for (too long...) about 3 1/2 years or so. I've never bought her anything expensive really. Just can't afford it and I'm not a materialistic person so I don't agree with expensive things to make people happy! Last valentines I posted her a card from Manc (about 2 days late) and didn't see her. Year before I made her a t shirt. Bought one from Primark and then bought an iron on transfer. Cost about 7 quid altogether. She loved it though, that's all that matters! Gutted for ya man, bloody women though eh! If she loves the expensive **** though, not worth it!

Wed been going out for a few years. Shed met the whole family. Yet the only side to have doubts was the mackem side. But hey thats Swindon for you load of drug addicts

haha yeah. You might be able to tell though, I'm a pretty fickle guy. I'm against marriage, I'm not keen on kids, I strongly believe in my own personal beliefs, I'm not materialistic, I won't spend out the arse when I don't need to. I waffle, apparently. It's hard to find someone who'd actually put up with me. I hate people, generally. <laugh> She puts up with me, that's good enough for me. I'd be useless at meeting anyone else by now anyway <laugh>

Plus, I'd miss the casual sex <whistle>

Haha, true. Never mind eh man, clearly wasn't meant to be. All part of growing up though I suppose! Wish you the best of luck with this new bird though <ok> (hopefully)
 
Yeah due to having massive commitment issues ;) I dont understand marriage.... When I see an old couple who have been together for like 35 years everyone is always like awww.. I literally cringe!!
