Anyone else think Obertan should be dropped? He didn't play terribly but he's lazy and sloppy. With about 15 minutes of the game left today I thought "Krul has played brilliantly (man of the match for me) and the back four have been solid, so why are they having so many chances?" The only reason I can think of is the midfield continually giving the ball, and Obertan was the main culprit. He's the complete opposite of Gutierrez who'll pick the ball up in our half and put the opposition under pressure, Obertan picks the ball up in the opposition half and puts his own defence under pressure. And his attitude seems to be "oh well, we'll get another opportunity later", he doesn't seem to realise the consequences and with Ben Arfa and Marveaux breathing down his neck I don't think he should keep his place. Sorry to bring football talk into the eBar, but it's always madness elsewhere after a game.
The mirror has a poll today on who should be the next England manager with Steve Bruce a choice. You know what to do lads http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk
Can't stop laughing at this
Mick McCarthy, Sam Allardyce and Stuart Pearce surely not any of them. Oh and how can they miss the highest placed English manager in the Premier League.
Anyone see Rodwell's sending off: In a derby as well. This is the same Martin Atkinson who didn't even give a free kick when De Jong broke Ben Arfa's leg.
I was saying precisely the same thing to my mate before the Blackburn game, only for Obertan to have a very good game.
