I really don't think we do, Aluko is here for another year and if Bruce classes him as a striker, then that's four. That is surely enough, two main ones and two back ups? We aren't going to see the back of Hernandez, he's our record signing and he's pretty decent, we know he can score goals but he isn't going to take the place of two in form strikers. He knows, we know it and Bruce knows it. We could spend any money we have on the other areas of the pitch, for once a striker isn't something I think we will see arriving in the transfer window, not when we really could do with improving the midfield and the RB positions.

Aluko a striker? Your having a laugh. Aluko is ****, so is Sago. If we stay up, and I believe we will we need 1 Striker at least and 2 quality midfielders who can actually get the ball to our strikers. Then it's game on. Our midfield has been our major weakness this season and cost us plenty.

I dunno why Long is now pigeonholed as a hard-working but **** player. People never said that when he was here. In fact I remember me sticking up for Jelavic on here cos a lot thought he was the weaker one of the two, whereas I liked them both. It's a bit **** how football fans pretend players are **** after they leave.

Absolutely zero hindsight from me. As I said I distinctly remember saying it during a game. As I clearly said in my post, he was a nuisance which caused problems and he gave us much needed pace but his quality, and in particular his finishing, was poor.

I know Mrs Long was a bit funny about the move before it happened, but I'm sure sure changed her mind when she got here, like most people I suppose.

It was more because she's from London/Reading and wanted to be near her mates.

It's still a pain in the arse to get to London from Southampton, there's a direct train from Hull to London KX takes just over 2 1/2 hours. Southampton about 1 1/2 hours to Waterloo, depending on where you want to go, it might be a similar time.
