I used to go to a record stall in Wakefield market, now sadly gone in the 90's the owner used to get me old Blues albums and introduced me to Roy Buchanan, and i've been a fan ever since, he influenced some great guitarists including Jeff Beck. Gary Moore, Billy Gibbons etc
