Well I thought it was a homosexual reference. Little Richard once famously said, "Elvis maybe the King of Rock n Roll, but I'm the Queen".<ok>
Just read about it. It was more specific than that. It was all about the act of taking one up the jacksie! Even with the lady re-writing it (to feminise it), it was still hugely risque for 1955! And you can guess what the "Bop bopa-a-lu whop bam boo" bit was all about.

I had no idea until I read it.
