If that Sevilla hadn't missed sitters at 0-1, we would have

I was really surprised that he took so long to make a sub when Sevilla started to attack us in the 2nd half. I was thinking after the first goal he surely was going to change things. At least to signal to his team that they needed to control the game and not let Sevilla walk all over them.

he said we were too passive. But what did he do about it? He is not passive on the touchline but surely he had to act. many teams in the premiership know how to defend by putting players behnd the ball. Some how if we get attacked, we seem to panic.

he did change things. he pulled mane further back to help moreno. mane was the one who made that last corner by not clearing th ball.

Klopp sent coutinho on and pulled mane into a LM type role to help moreno.

I don't get how if he can see this "passivity" time and again he's not either addressed it or developed a signal to his key players that they need to get heads knocked together.

Its not just putting men behind ball. its the abdication of control knowing theres weak players at the back that is the issue. Wijnaldum and henderson never even tried to find a pass.

can got abuse on here last night for trying to do that. he was called rubbish.

Well, instead of kissing Moreno's arse Klopp should hang him out to dry(like he did with Lovren v Spurs)and give the kid a chance, maybe that'll rattle the pea brained **** into staying awake for the duration of the game, and who knows, maybe Robertson will be a revelation and Moreno can **** off back to Seville.<whistle>

Or just **** off.

Haven't read back but that result did almost feel like a loss. Would have taken a draw before the game but to draw in the manner we did was criminal. What's with Alberto M every time we play Sevilla? Is he hard wired to help them out at all costs? That's 3 times now <grr>

On the bright side, still top of the group. Does it mean we're through anyway just the placing 1st or 2nd in group to be decided in last game?

I agree if we had drawn 1-1 it would have been seen as a fairly good result. It's the inept 2nd half performance that is hard to take.

All that matters at the end of the day is making that knockout stage, and I think we will be fine.
After that, anything can happen regardless of who we face.

Liverpool are investigating claims fans were subjected to violent policing and denied entry to Tuesday's Champions League draw away to Sevilla.
Fans shared stories of policing at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on social media, with some claiming to be punched.
Liverpool said accounts from supporters were "detailed and troubling".
"The club is seeking to establish the facts regarding their treatment at the hands of the host stewards and local police force," a club statement read.
"The safety and security of our supporters is our paramount concern and we intend to gather all the relevant information before responding further."

Gotta give Sevilla credit aswell, they changed things and went for us and got that all important first goal in the second half.

Really could do without that sort of **** <doh>

Has anyone mentioned the refereeing. Worst I've seen for a long time and he gets the WC gig if Germany don't qualify <doh>

With regard to the breaking news about fans being punched and mistreated, what was going on with the ball boy and Gomez when Klopp stepped in?

Ref was poor, he's usually better than that. Very experienced.

Bearing in mind there's a 5th official now on the goal line how did they between them miss the multiple shirt pulls and holding? At one corner the neck of Klavan's shirt was almost at waist level he was being pulled so hard.

The girl that got punched in the back said she was taking a SOS flag bearing the word "Defiance", the police said it was "political" which she refuted, so after picking it up from the where they'd thrown it she was punched in the back.
They were certainly told by their superiors to be heavy handed with our supporters because there were plenty of other incidents.

Yeah, eventually he did give a yellow for shirt pulling then two minutes later totally ignored the exact same offence <doh>
I thought Sevilla were quite dirty overall
