Sessegnon

Until Bruce commits players to the attack from the off and actually gets the midfielders playing in midfield, Sess and Bendy and Wickham and Ji are screwed.

Like everyone else has said, we need Sess behind two strikers to act as a link man between them and the MF. Oh yeah, we need wingers too. Elmo ain't it and Kieran's playing FB <doh>

I'd disagree with that - he was poor last night but overall his performances have been good.
................

This is the 1st time that Bruce has been pissed off with the team performance imo, where previously he was ok with the performance just unhappy with the results (except drawing with Liverpool). I have no idea how bruce will react, or more importantly get the team to react now that he has publicly slammed them. Maybe this is the game we needed in order for Bruce to put his foot where it needs putting, and give the players a "ticking off".....

I thought that as well Dan - Believe Bruce has 1 game to prove himself now - if we lose this weekend then that is it (I would think)

What I can't work out is that the player looked fired up and wanted it against Stoke, but, other than the first 5 minutes, didn't look interested.

Bendtner and Ji looked decent (Thought Bendtner's touch was awesome - and, other than a class save, he'd have scored on Monday) The sad reality about Monday night is that the teams heads seemed to drop because WE DIDN'T SCORE - that should never happen - particularly in an away game - that and that 3 of the back 4 were poor on the day (everyone has off days but to have your Wes Brown defending on his own was never going to be a good thing).

By the way lads - I'm trying to decide whether or not to go on Saturday - I have only "not watched" 1 game this season - Stoke!! and we all know what happened!

Makes you wonder what kind of mindset Bruce puts in his team. When a team goes a goal or two down they either roll over, or they fight. Man utd, for example, fight even harder.

If Bruce can't give the team a fighting mindset in the face of adversity then that's yet another thing he's ballsing up.

Thing is Chappaz they rolled over more becaus we didn't score in the first 5 minutes rather than when they went a goal down - poor mindset really.
