@Smug in Boots

Not said my thank you yet! <cheers> Your sincerity was never in doubt for me and I can't understand the abuse sent your way.

When there are obvious WUM's they get grief from a lot of people... When someone blatantly isn't WUMing and some of the same people are still giving grief it really shows them up for what they are.

I'm sure there are many different motives for it, but I don't think I'll ever understand it.

@Smug in Boots

To be fair you have stood by your convictions under tremendous flak. I think we know you were ITK and I have looked forward to your updates. Having worked for a Big 4 form I have always understood how long these things can take and would love to know what the structure and ultimate intention is.

I hope as you have constantly reiterated this is very good in the long term , although some short term cheer wouldn't go a miss.

I do have genuine doubts about how the owners will deliver,they have been a little loose tongued at times but I would imagine the wriggle rooms not as great with FPP involved

We shall see

I see Chris the accountant is spouting his agenda as usual
He can't help himself! Dug himself into such a big anti-SD/CM hole, that he now has to keep digging by complaining and making an issue out of nothing in that CM interview today. He won't accept that SD/CM have had to cut costs (including the scouting) to make us investable. He'd rather SD spent all his cash making big losses to get us into the Championship then with no investors willing to buy into a big-loss-making club what would happen? Straight back down to L1 and skint and no investors? Great logic Chris :emoticon-0137-clapp

I saw a video on YouTube with him talking. I am an ugly twat but he positively takes it way too far. He should keep his head down or at least covered.

Is anyone on here going to the talk in with Bally and Charlie tonight? If so, any chance of posting any interesting stuff that's said.

Hopefully if so please ask them if these guys are looking to take control further down the line if we reach the Premiership or are SD and CM wanting to remain the whole time?

@Smug in Boots , got to say thank you for all the information you have given. you’ve finally been vindicated.

Cheers mate, all I did was try to keep things lighthearted and optimistic, sadly that really winds up some people as the torrents of abuse showed.

I was very lucky to have seen first hand evidence of what I still believe is a takeover ....

.... so I was in the fortunate position of having no doubts.

I still can't post everything I was told but I'm a very happy Sunderland supporter who just wants to go back to normal now.

It will all come out sooner or later including how Ashley let the Dell boys slip away <laugh>

Has anything been hinted at on the infrastructure side? I read in Charlie’s interview I think, there’d be an announcement in the coming weeks, that would be linked to infrastructure and match day experience (paraphrasing)

Could it be changing the club shop into a boozer? Or swapping the club shop and ticket office over.

Cheers

I think there is already a planning application in to change the ticket office to the club shop on the council website but not sure what's happening to the current club shop. A sports bar would make sense showing all different live sports, food etc.

I can imagine mag fans chortling at our comparative small investment but imo the important thing was getting the yanks involved. They are now involved and we have to hope our results improve and we get under their skin.
If we do, who knows what the future holds ?

That's a really good interview. Couldn't ask for more in-depth or a view into the strategic decisions.
It's exactly like some of the press releases that I've seen (albeit slightly lower profile).. There was probably a brief and and an article written based on it - then the 'interviewee' just ok's the content.

Agree with this ^^^^^. £10m is buttons to them but it's it's massive in league 1. The big this is getting them to the table and hopefully their contacts can open up a **** load of possibilities on and off the field. It's telling that Charlie mentioned using them as mentors. Happy days IMO
