Well here we go again, neck on the block time.

I woke up to an 'announcement in 48 hours' message from someone in the national media but not close to Sunderland.

Took that with appreciation but a pinch of salt.

This afternoon I received the same message from someone who's a good friend of someone at the club. He told me not to repeat the details so I didn't as I respect the lad and wouldn't ever betray his confidence.

However, I've now had the same 'hold onto your hat' message from someone who'll benefit financially from the deal but doesn't care whether I post it or not. That now excuses me from betraying my friend who contacted me earlier.

The news, which is being talked about more openly, is that there'll be a statement rather than a big media announcement. The gist of it is that there's investment which will be the start of a 'long term relationship'.

After the abuse I've taken I had to consider posting this but, as I've said before, I'm posting for the decent people not the miserable tossers who'd find comfort in me being wrong, about all this, if it fell through.

So, as I've been told by 3 unconnected people there will be a club statement before the team leave for Shrewsbury.

If not I may just be Googling Swiss clinics and checking flights ....

Great stuff. Keep the info coming as long as you dont get yourself into any bother. Much appreciated. Hopefully it all gets sorted soon and we are minted (by minted I mean, a long term sustainable project. :emoticon-0103-cool:.

Would be class if we got under Ellis Shorts skin so much that he personally sought out very wealthy and sensible investors for us.

Not being funny and doubting your info, but wouldn't this be published somewhere in legal documents/companies house etc. If he is involved as an active party it would surely be above board and should be made public.

Might just be hinting that hes been active as an advisor..helping Donald and co. to find top class investment.

No worries man. As I said it was a bit lacking in detail what I was told.

I may have read the post wrong, is ES still involved in the investment in an official capacity or just meeting and greeting our current owners to the prospective owners? He owns the hotel which is a topic of discussion in terms of the widwr sheepfolds investments so he probably does have a decent size say in our future.

I'd love to see the interview the Sunderland till I die crew did with him. 4 hours of him talking about everything SAFC apparently, but they decided not to release it as it didn't fit into the final production.
