In my opinion - based on nothing more than gut feeling - this will be Donald’s chance to prove himself. If he gets us promoted then he gets the keys to the kingdom and he gets left in charge of the place when the new investors come on board. If not then he doesn’t.

No where in the statement does it say the Americans are the potential investors, it is so carefully worded as to make me believe they are probably talking to someone else but don’t want to admit it.

We've been going through the client's PA, then the company solicitor but finally found out who the client is.

We nearly fell through the floor.

We've been asked to go to the Surrey mansion to meet the staff, etc but it's at a higher level even than the Olygarch and Sheikh we worked for. Mrs Smug is sitting here shaking her head and laughing ... we've just walked in shattered but I'll try to post a few clues in the morning.

There would definitely be no holidays, not even visitors ...

Tbh, it's a fair point. That statement re the takeover has nothing in it that couldn't have been said before now. That statement could easily have been made 2 weeks or more ago so why say there'll be an update when the update itself is no different to anything that they could/have said previously?
