When this is announced, are we expecting a really big fuss or a low ley, announcement on the website, standard press conference type thing?

I'm hoping for a big lavish announcement, mock ups of the monorail, clowns, dancing elephants, the works

If theres clowns I'm out. Hate them. Plus weve had enough clowns at the club over the last few years to last a lifetime.
Dancing elephants are fine though

I would like to think there would be an announcement and thats it - no massive press conferences etc - just a feeling these guys are going to turn us into a proper professional outfit and then we'd know these guys means business.

The club hasnt been professionally run in many a year.

If we have a big event other clubs will take us for a massive ride in future transfer windows.

I'm hoping it's at the SOL talk in or before

I really think they are here long term and wont suffer mediocrity

Don't think it will be a lavish announcement with all the mock up details and stuff, but it must be a press conference with the American lads there with Donald. Be interesting to see how much national coverage it gets mind.

It's a strange one as the media don't care about Sunderland yet Michael Dell is the 25th richest bloke in world.

That alone even though he's a passive investor is a big story. If they play it right with PR etc so got their own preferred media partners to have an exclusive may work out better.

I'd guess at a media release with some pre-recorded content.

Imagine the meltdowns if a press conference was called outside of the normal pre-match routine. People would be tipping off both ends of the spectrum.

To be fair it was reported in the Times

People need to keep their emotions and expectations in check.
I'm sure they will be very ambitious and I doubt anything other than getting to premier quick sharp will be failure. When keane took us up, we were nowhere going into the xmas window. He then bought anything with 2 legs and the rest is history.
Truth is the best bit of business he ever did was loaning Johnny Evans. People like kavanagh played a part but Evan's was the catalyst.
I'm not expecting lavish spending or whatever. They will be keen to get in the right football staff from manager through to the academy and scouting.
It'll happen when it happens. Hardly profound I realise

Why am I getting email alerts every time anyone posts on this thread I'm watching? Can't find how to turn them off.Anyone help?
