I would say that Donald himself was being circumspect when speaking publically. He then spoke in private to one individual saying something different. In other words he was more relaxed and not trying to be careful with his words and thus is nearer the truth than what he said on a microphone to 200 supporters. He is a clever enough man to know what he said in private will be relayed to other fans via word of mouth or social media, and is perhaps what he would have liked to say on the microphone but was unable to.

That's my interpretation as well mate, he's not a naive newcomer to all this.

The Dell people spoke to supporters, in the next box to them saying it was all done.

The fanzines were tipped off and now the BBC have openly talked to our player about the new owners.

OK, I wasn't going to break a confidence but, now you've openly said this, it's obvious I'm not the only one being drip fed information.

Charlie seems to be much less careful about who he speaks to.

I've suspected, for a while, that the fanzines and forums are being used by different 'factiions' to feed info, some duff and some true, into the system.

I've posted everything in good faith and, of course, I want all the positive stuff to be 100% true, what true Sunderland supporter wouldn't ffs?

What I do know is that the only truly first hand info I got was a message from Furham saying he was the new owner. As far as I'm concerned that's it for me and I'd have been quite happy to have put that directly to Mr Donald.

People, from the forums, have visited the estates I ran for the Sheikh, Russian, American, Lebanese, etc. They would pull me up publicly if I lied. They'd also confirm everything I've said about being a bodyguard, living in the south of France, owning powerboats, etc but I wouldn't dream of it. I could post photos of me driving an Oligarch's £600k Porsche through Monaco if I gave a shiny shyte what strangers think of me ....

Speaking for myself there are a number of reasons.

1) if people allow them to post nonsense it eventually becomes fact, like the 50% agreed takeover.

2) Left unchecked they'll ruin the board as they've now done.

3) Most importantly they drive decent people away as many have said since joining here. I had regular pm's, on RTG, thanking me for standing up to the bullies because they'd been attacked and had stopped posting. That's exactly what they want so they can rule the roost. When someone like me won't back down its inevitable that the pack will get together and try to bring me down.

When they can't manage it they lash out and get ever more personal. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to fire back but only ever respond in kind.


I'd happily do a talk in at Blackhill, to answer any questions, but not one of them have the balls to repeat things to my face or take my £1000 bet ...
