This sounds like you are deliberately trying to wind people up, which others have commented about . . . . there is no evidence of bullying, and until there is you, perhaps, shouldn't suggest it ('cos that'll get peoples' backs up, too).

As I've already mentioned, don't be a tit and you probably won't be treated like one :emoticon-0105-wink:

good post.

Sorry to hear your old man isn't around to see this moment. Hopefully you come back for the new era to see the club do him proud!

Your post made me think about my grandad, who played for the club in the 50s and still goes with his brother-in-law to this day with his season ticket near the halfway line. I sit elsewhere in the ground but see him at half-time or full-time whenever possible. He struggles to walk any distance of late yet still goes every week to the home matches irrespective of the weather. Having lost his wife late last year, he's been understandably a bit lost of late and I'm pleased his reward for his dedication is hopefully arriving soon, it's looking like it will be a fantastic new era for the football club.

Cheers mate. It makes me very happy to think that there are those who have supported the club through thick and thin over many, many years are hopefully about to see that dedication rewarded in a resurgence in the club that no-one will have ever experienced.

There are much more dedicated and worthy fans than I who have turned up season after season and supported the Lads through good times and (mostly) bad. I saw my first game in 1981 - a 0-2 home defeat to West Ham but didn’t really start going with the old man until we got relegated to the old 3rd Division. We got season tickets when the SOL opened but stopped after the Howard Wilkinson season. Been to occasional games since then but it’s the proper fans, the hardcore season after season, home and away fans that I hope experience the highest of highs in the coming years.

They deserve it.

......but I am trying to talk the wife around into us getting season tickets next year!!!

It all hinges on the rumour that they are all here and attending the match.

If that is true, I'm inclined to believe that it is imminent and its all been deliberately timed to be concluded for when they were already planning on being here. I.e attending Saturdays game.

If they are not here now and are not here for the match it's either not happening imminently or it's going to be a very low key announcement.

In reality whilst we would all love a party probably the best policy would probably be a low key approach and just relentlessly steamroller on to the premier league.
If we have to chop the legs of certain parties on the way so be it. - perhaps on reflection this is not parliamentary language.
Who was that American president who said talk softly but carry a big stick..

I imagine Bill Clinton said that, but it probably wasn't in the same context that you're talking about.

if it is done and they are wanting to maximise the PR aspect of the deal either Friday night or Saturday morning is an absolute no brainer to announce it.
