6 hours ago safc.com uploaded Ross’ preview on tonight’s game. Around 1 hour ago it uploaded the story he was sacked.

Two potential thoughts.....
1. The club doesn’t know it’s arse from its elbow and various departments are dysfunctional from one another.
2. Something has changed very suddenly this afternoon. Hopefully, the Americans insistence that Ross goes and they come in with a clean slate, much as Donald did post Coleman.

I’m really hoping for the latter although let’s be honest, the former is equally, if not more likely.

I'm hanging on to your guess number 2 as if my life depends on it.

3 years for us to find similar investment or another owner before I invest in euthanasia

It certainly looks like something has occurred in between when JR interview posted on SAFC.com and 2pm. Thats early morning time in the states.

The way SD was saying he's gutted, it was a difficult decision etc. whilst I do believe him that he takes decisions in the best interest of the club, it does lead me to believe that these potential new guys wanted Ross out for their own man but SD wasn't happy to make that decision so there were negotiations around that. Then today, the potential owners essentially said "our own man or we're done" which has resulted in the articles and rumour of it being off - then SD pulls the trigger.

It would tie in with @Smug in Boots' earlier information that there were staffing issues and a "meeting" that was talk the talk or walk. You'd like to think all this time taken these new guys would have a plan of action sorted and ready to implemented the second they got in, which ultimately begins with a new manager.
