It's been a crackers few weeks mind . It sounds like this deal is going the distance, with what i'm guessing is bluff, and double bluff by both parties. It has to go through soon before i turn into an alcoholic :emoticon-0141-whew: Everyone down here think i'm losing my marbles, with my constant updates. Sign the bloody deal :emoticon-0150-hands<bubbly>

My gut feeling (and I've not heard anyone mention it) when SD came out and said that he doesn't change a deal once it's made, was that he was being honest but also making a point as the Americans were trying to change it.

All pure conjecture but it fits the puzzle.
Yeah, I noticed that and thought it was aimed at someone or something to be referred to later

No mate, definitely not him.

It was from someone who believes himself to be a journalist and passed it on to me.

That's why I said, as I posted, that this has been a nightmare. I should've made it clearer that it was just a message tbh.

The more I posted the more 'good info' people have sent until I was swamped.

If it wasn't for the messages of support, from decent people and mates, I'd just stop dead.

Some imbeciles have claimed I'm just having fun at other people's expense.

Fun ffs <doh>
Fun is having a blunt stick shoved in your eyes, in comparison

Could be a good point that mind.
People questioning ALS and RR jumping the gun. There is no way on earth, that if Donald or the Dell Boys were not happy with that, then them t shirt sales would have been scrapped at the 1st phone call from the club saying "Pull them off sale now! It could scupper the deal"

True but I imagine it's also not unusual to get screwed when you have the lower hand and you've got yourself in it up to your neck by pretty much announcing it to the media and selling your business.

I must admit for a businessman he was loose with his talk (well assuming he leaked it)

Just a quick view on 2 message boards would quickly reveal we are all desperate for this takeover to happen.

Doesnt take a genius to work out the fall out from it failing would be nuclear. SD isn't a great bargaining position right now

Tell you what that's a bloody good and smart idea that if true.

Get the fans thinking SD has cost us a potential of competing at the top level again which will obviously turn them against him.

Making his position untenerable so he has to just make his money and move on so they can get in who they want rather than have SD and CM staying on for 10 years.
They must have learned from Short ( probably met with him) in that it’s vital to have people on the board who can actually run a Business.. especially if you are going to be a distant owner . The right thing to do would be keep them and add more football experience ..
